Crime of the Week 05/07/2013

Erath County Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving these crimes of the week.

On Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 7:17 am the Stephenville Police Department received a call to 865 W. Washington Jalisco Restaurant in reference to burglary of a building. Officers arrived and met with the Owner learning the following information. The Owner left the business on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10:20 pm and returned on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 7:05 am and discovered the front door glass had been shattered and the outside storage building had been forced open. It appears the suspect entered the storage building before breaking the front door glass at 3:22 am entering the restaurant. Jalisco has a video security system and officers were able to get a photo of the suspect who is wearing a light colored hooded jacket with something covering their nose and mouth.

Crime of the Week 2


On Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 8:13 am the Stephenville Police Department received a call to 1002 W. South Loop G&L Trading Post in reference to burglary of a building. Officers arrived and met with the Owner of the business learning the following information. The Owner closed the business on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 5:40 pm and returned on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 8:05 am and discovered the front door glass had been shattered. An employee told the Owner they drove by the business at 12:10 am on Sunday, May 5, 2013 and everything appeared to be fine. The suspect entered through the broken front door and it appears the suspect took gaming systems, controllers, and video games.


Crime of the Week 3


On Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 4:15 pm the Stephenville Police Department received a call to 2765 W. Washington at Wal-Mart in reference to a theft. Officers arrived and met with the victim of the theft and learned the following information. The victim a Hispanic male was approached by two Hispanic males inside Wal-Mart and one of the Hispanic males asked the victim if he could barrow some money. The victim felt they could be trusted and wanted to help them, he pulled out his wallet and when he opened it one of the Hispanic males grabbed all of his money and the two of them took off running. After getting a description of the two Hispanic males from the victim a Wal-Mart Loss Prevention Officer was able to track the two suspects on the security video system. Once the two suspects exited Wal-Mart they were seen on security video getting into a white Dodge Caravan and leaving the parking lot.
